It’s the Day of the Dead, a time of reverance and celebration.
In 1992, my dear husband, Richard and I dressed up as old people for Halloween. We assumed that we would indeed grow old together. It turned out that Halloween 1992 was the only day we would have together as old people. In the photo, I was 35 and Richard was 41. Richard died of complications from Parkinson’s and Lewy body Dementia when I was 59 and he was 65.
So today, I remind myself and everyone to live every day to the fullest and with gratitude.
